How about some Italy pictures, Finally!!!

Pisa was great but it probably took us two hours to get this picture just right. It was pretty funny seeing people of all nationalities getting frustrated in their native tongues ( you're too close, just a bit to the left, no you're other left, step back a bit ). Take it from me, just use Photoshop, ha ha ha. By the way Italy has many leaning towers.

Hey,

Today's the perfect day to get laundry done so I decided to procrastinate just a bit and post those Italian pictures and sketches. Like I said in previous posts I did not have much time to do the amount of sketching as I wanted but I did get a ton of pictures to show y'all. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Soooo much stuff done

I did some caricatures yesterday. This one was of a horse named Mikey!!! There truly is a first time for everything.

Halloween was small this year because of (work) sniff, sniff, tear. There is always next year for the haunted garage. I did get to try an awesome parlor trick they use in the haunted mansion where you reflect a video or lighted object onto a piece of Plexiglas. Hence the disembodied floating head, it looked pretty sweet.

Hey guys and gals, I am proud to announce that I am finally done with the children's book I have been spending the past few months working on. It looks great and I will be a published illustrator once it hits bookstores.

Take care everyone

getting back into the groove

I am getting ready to digitally paint this new project I am working on and wanted to get the feel for using painter again. So here is another copy of a Jacques Louis David portrait but attempted in Painter. I am happy so far, it just needs some more tweaking in the not too distant future when I find some time.

Why I loveeeeee Halloween

For those of you who know me well. A mania of mine is Halloween and my love for setting up a good haunted house. I really would love to figure out how to do a moving eye portrait with a dc motor or something this year but do to the paid commissions I am finishing right now it would be best to keep it simple this year. So I photo shopped and ghost-ified a painting by Jacques Louis David and zombie-fied the other is by Ingres. Also check out this actual dark ride style haunted house I found on you tube. It's called {Terror on the Butte} and it is awesome.

a wild thing

Hey everyone. First of all I saw some great blogs featuring an homage to the new movie where the wild things are. I was a huge fan of the book back in the day. So here is a little doodle in ink. Secondly I just got back from Italy so I should be posting a truck load of pictures and some sketches. Though the trip was so intense I did not have much drawing and water color time.

By the way Italy should be a mandatory trip for all you artists and art connoisseurs out there. It is just mind blowing and pictures do not do the art, architecture and scenery justice.
