Painten in The Garage

I have two busy weeks under my belt The first one involving the float for Exploration Station. This last week I had to paint murals on several walls to create an Egyptian themed room for a birthday party at the same museum. I can't believe I was able to get it done in roughly 5-6 days. I had some great helpers that made the mountain more climbable so to speak. Now that that is taken care of I have a break to finish the New Orleans piece I started in March. I will take some pitchas of the Egyptian /Beadalishious party room. I was ready to do a cool Mummy's tomb but the client wanted to make the theme fit for young girls.

Another one bites the dust

Man I wish I could take a decent picture without having an ADD flashback moment.

Meaning I have just finished the float I am doing for the Houston Museum of Natural Science " Exploration Station ". She floated like a dream at 8:30 in the morning and she won second place in today's competition, Wooooo Hooooo!!! we even had a sound track of preschool songs accompany the float. It was a blast to work on this mighty vessel and I hope for similar opportunities to come along the road in my career.

Any who art will appear in the not too distant future. I promise you my friends!

P.S. Styrofoam is the Devil. It is a pain in the neck to work with and it gets every where.

Forgot to Mention

I strongly recommend "Walking With With Dinosaurs" The Live Experience. I went last Wednesday night and was very impressed and entertained. The puppets are amazing and very lifelike. The show encompasses the massive time span between the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods in about a hour and a half so don't be late to arrive like I was. Anyway its a great experience and you will definitely get your moneys worth so check out the "Walking with Dinosaurs" link to see where they are headed next on their North American Circuit.

Lions and Tigers and Bears Hell Yeah !

Who cares about Arsenic I am taking one of these guys home!

Sorry for the absence Ladies and Gents. I have been sick with digestive track problems for the past month. However I also have some new projects a clickin.

I am fortunate to have the chance to volunteer at a local Natural Science Museum right in my home town. I am working on a float that will be pulled down a Canal for an upcoming Arts Festival. The museum is awesome and they have replicas of some amazing prehistoric skeletons ranging from a Giant Sea Turtle to an Ankylosaurus. The are also lots of bugs, frogs , fossils and stuffed animals strewn about. Some of them are chilling with me as I work on the project. The room I am set up in reminds me of that scene from The Never Ending Story were Bastian reads the book in that crazy looking School Attic.

Peace out!
